If you're anything like us, you probably have a deep appreciation for all things crystals, but did you know they can make an amazing addition to your bathroom self-care rituals?
You can shower with them, pop them in your bathtub, or simply have them around your space to soak up the magical energy they radiate.
Unfortunately, not all crystals are safe for use in the bathroom.
Selenite, Fluorite, Labradorite, Malachite and Pyrite for example are all either:
- water soluble and may break in water
- low in hardness and may be damaged by salt water
- or, may leach out potentially dangerous minerals if damaged

It's best to avoid using those particular crystals in the bathroom just in case something happened by accident.
To find out if a particular crystal or stone is safe to use around/in water, google the Moh's Hardness Scale of that particular piece. If it's less than 6, avoid getting it wet.
You can also dig deeper and refer to a crystal toxicity table and a crystal solubility table for a scientific answer.
But don't worry, there are plenty of bathroom-safe crystals that you can use to enhance your sacred bathroom rituals.
