Sustainability and Ethics

We believe that our daily choices can have a big impact on the environment.

That's why as a small business, we've made earth-friendly packaging choices so you have one less thing to worry about.

Products and packaging

Our soaps are wrapped in a biodegradable, polyolefin, plastic free wrap.

It's only available from the USA and we've been using it on our products since 2018.

Best of all, it's scent permeable so your soap stays dust-free and wonderfully smelly until you're ready to unwrap and use your soap.

Shipping box, wrap + fill

All shipping boxes are made of cardboard and are recyclable. Remember to remove any labels and packaging tape first

Our tissue paper is printed with soy based inks and can be composted or placed in the your regular bin

Cello bags are genuine cellulose and can be composted or placed in your regular bin

We use a compostable and biodegradable void fill to cushion and product your order in transit. Made from corn starch they're totally natural and water soluble.

Sometimes we need to use Australia Post satchels. These are recyclable and can be taken to your nearest RedCycle collection point.

Promotional materials

Your order will contain a range of branded goodies, such as custom printed tissue paper, a thank you card, our business card and an embossed paper sticker to secure your products. Where possible, we've chosen recycled papers and soy based ink.

Each time we place an order for tissue paper, a tree is planted. How cool is that!

We suggest keeping the business card to give to a friend and popping the welcome card on your fridge, because you're in a cult now.

Freebies like stickers, badges, or fridge magnets will be included from time to time. If you don't want to receive any extras, please leave a note at checkout.

Soap Cult soaps are entirely biodegradable, septic tank safe, plastic glitter free and return to source.

You can scrub and wash to your heart's content and know that everything going down the drain is entirely earth-friendly.

Eco Max brand kitchen & body brushes, and kitchen scourers are made of all natural ingredients.

At the end of their life, they can be either composted or placed in your regular bin.

Soap Dishes, Tray & Holders

We have several types of soap dishes; timber and acrylic.

The timber soap dishes are made from quality wood and will last for a long time. At the end of their life, they can be either composted or placed in your regular bin.

The acrylic soap dishes will last pretty much forever. At the end of their life, they can be recycled via KF Plastics.

Please consider re-gifting or donating these items when you're ready to part with them. Reusing is always preferable to any recycling program.

Coffin Trays home decor

Our coffin trays are made from quality wood and will last for a long time. At the end of their life, they can be either composted or placed in your regular bin. Remember to remove the metal hardware first.

Calico drawstring gift bags

We use calico bags for gift packs and mystery samplers. These are made of natural ingredients. At the end of their life, they can be either composted or placed in your regular bin.
