When you were growing up, did you have to use cheap, drying supermarket soap on your face? Or was it just me? Thankfully the days of bad smelling, harsh soap made purely for profit and not for your skin health, are gone. You can forget about those soap-hating days because handmade soap has made a comeback and we aren't tolerating crappy soap anymore!
Soap Cult Australia's range of all natural facial soaps are designed to be used on the face. Yup! Handmade using the traditional cold-process method, each soap features ingredients selected *specifically* for that skin type. And not just the additives in the same old formula. Oh no. We can do better than that. Let's talk about fatty acids and how they can be chosen and blended to make a custom soap that'll actually work on your skin.
You've probably heard of fatty acids before in terms of food: saturated, unsaturated, trans fatty acids etc. Well in soap making, we're only interested in about eight of these naturally occurring components of butters and oils. They are:
- Lauric acid
- Myristic acid
- Palmatic acid
- Stearic acid
- Oleic acid
- Linoleic acid
- Linolenic acid
- Ricinoleic acid
Each oil and butter we use in our soaps, has varying degrees of these fatty acids, or none at all. The real beauty of Soap Cult Australia facial soaps comes from the carefully selected ingredients and expertly formulated recipe. You'll notice each soap is quite different and that's because your facial skin has different wants and needs depending on your skin type.
We know your skin is delicate and can sometimes be sensitive. Trying out new skincare products can either be exciting or a bit scary, depending on how your skin has behaved in the past.
Thankfully, most people have good results from natural products, such as clays, essential oils, natural scrubs and herbal infused oils. So, we've kept it all natural. No synthetic colours or fragrances. Just simple, minimalist, effective facial soap.
When you're short on time, the last thing you need is a complicated routine. Our facial soaps can be used in the shower or at the sink to remove the day's makeup or grime. Get back to basics and try our facial soaps today.
